Duplicating a plan
Make a full copy of a plan, from your library or onto the same client, so you can edit the copy and throw it away if it goes wrong.
A duplicate is a complete, independent copy. It brings the phases, days, content collections, workouts and meal plans with it, and nothing in the copy is shared with the original: rewrite a workout in the copy and the plan you copied it from does not change.
Use it when you want to try something without risking work a client is already following.
From a client’s record
- Open the client and find the Plans & programs card.
- Point at the plan’s row and choose Duplicate from the icons on the right.
- The dialog asks Duplicate this plan? Confirm with Duplicate.
The copy lands on the same client, named <plan name> (Copy), and starts as PENDING.
Pending matters: your client sees nothing. Only an active plan appears in their app, so you can rebuild half of the copy over a week without anyone watching. When it is ready, use Status on the row to set it Active, and set the original to Expired or Paused if it is being replaced, or the client sees two live plans at once.
The copy keeps the original’s start and end dates so the two sit side by side, and it is not linked to a purchase. If the copy is what the client is actually getting for a package they paid for, link it to that purchase yourself.
From your plan library
- Go to Vault → Mixed Plans, or the My Plans tab of Vault → Training.
- Open the plan’s card menu and choose Duplicate.
- The dialog names the plan and warns that larger ones take a few seconds. Confirm.
The copy is a new template in your own library, private to you, in the same folder. It is never public, even when you duplicate a plan that is.
On the Team and Protocol tabs the same menu item reads Import to my library, because what you are doing there is taking someone else’s plan into your own library rather than copying your own.
A long plan takes a moment
Copying a twelve week plan means copying every workout and meal plan inside it. The button shows Copying… while that happens. Leave the dialog open until it finishes.
