Nutrition

Custom foods and servings, adding supplements correctly, reusable food groups, multi-day plans, and how photo/text food logging works.

Can I add my own food and show it as “1 serving” instead of grams?

Yes — define the food’s macros per 100g (manual entry or USDA lookup), then add a named measurement (e.g. “Serving” = 55g). In a plan it then displays “1 serving” and auto-calculates the macros.

Why is my whey protein showing barely any protein or calories?

Add whey and similar products via Add supplement, not as a raw food-database ingredient — a food-DB match can mis-map it (e.g. 75g whey → 9g protein). Supplements carry their own kcal/protein/carbs/fat and count toward the day’s totals.

Can I save a food group like “Carbohydrate options” and reuse it across plans?

Yes — build the group once, then link that template inside other templates to reuse it. A group-level quantity multiplier scales every option at once (e.g. doubles every option’s amount).

Why does my nutrition plan show one giant calorie total instead of per-day values?

A single nutrition template represents one day — putting a whole week into one template sums all the calories together. For multi-day plans, add separate days (three-dots → add day) or link sub-templates; don’t build the whole week inside one template.

Photo food logging gets stuck around 95% or fails — what’s wrong?

The AI image analysis can occasionally time out under load. Logging by text is a reliable, faster fallback (a few seconds vs longer for images), and a retry usually works. Food lookup is moving onto dedicated food databases to reduce that dependency.

My client logged the same food twice but got different macros — why?

Free-text food logging estimates macros per entry rather than binding to a fixed database, so identical inputs can vary slightly. The most consistent results come from your curated foods and supplements; an improved flow (client confirms the planned meal, free-logged food checked against your food DB) is rolling out.

My client’s nutrition log resets to “the next day” in the evening — why?

That was a timezone issue for the Americas (negative-UTC) where the day rolled over at UTC midnight. It’s resolved in current app versions — have the client update from the App Store / Play Store.
