Planning
Your day-to-day operations, the calendar and the bookable events clients schedule themselves into, plus your task boards.
The Planning area is where you run the operational side of coaching. It holds two screens:
- Calendar - your appointments and sessions, plus everything behind the public page clients book themselves into: the event types you offer, the hours you’re available, your scheduling rules, and your booking address. A virtual session can carry a real video link: see Video meetings on appointments, and guests can be emailed when you create, move or cancel one: see Emailing guests about an appointment.
- Tasks - your to-do list and your client work, as a board you drag cards across or a list you filter and sort.
There’s no separate Booking entry in the menu, because booking isn’t a separate screen. Your bookable event types, your availability and your public booking link all live in tabs on the Calendar screen, and the page your clients see is published from there.
A detailed guide to Tasks is below, and video meetings have their own page. The rest of the Calendar guide is coming soon.
Video meetings on appointments
A virtual appointment can carry a real video link, from your own Zoom or from Google Meet. How to add one, how Protocol picks when you have both, and how to join or host.
Emailing guests about an appointment
When you create, move or cancel an appointment that has guests, Protocol asks whether to email them. Choose Send and each guest gets the details, the join link and a calendar file.
Tasks, boards & the client tasks list
Three views over the same tasks, an overview, a filterable worklist and a Kanban board, plus a dedicated tab for client work on the client list.
