v1.5.0May 31, 2026

The big two-month release: a smarter client dashboard, time-sensitive reminders that actually expire, deeper workout and nutrition tracking in the app, the client web app, and a long list of quality-of-life improvements and fixes across the platform.

Client management

  • New Advanced client dashboard with AI-flagged check-ins — Check-in reports are analysed and sorted automatically, then flagged — clients who need your attention are surfaced in red, clients on track in green. Your team can see who needs a longer reply and who just needs a quick note, at a glance. Learn more →
  • New Client export with contact details — Export active and inactive clients to a spreadsheet, including Instagram links and phone numbers — ready to drop into ad tools for lookalike audiences.
  • Improved Shift-click to select a range — In any list, click one item, hold Shift, and click another to select everything in between.
  • Improved Cleaner app preview — Clearer instructions and notes when previewing how the app looks for your clients.
  • Fixed Client notes save reliably as you type — Auto-save in Client → Overview no longer skips characters or reverts your text while typing.
  • Fixed No more duplicate client emails — The system now prevents two clients ending up with the same email address (for example one archived and one active).
  • Fixed Partial-name search sorts correctly — Searching by part of a name (e.g. “Dejan K”) now returns properly ordered results.
  • Fixed Archived clients kept separate in the app — In the coach app, archived clients are no longer mixed in with your active client list.

Workouts & training

  • New RIR / RPE in workout logs — Clients can record Reps-in-Reserve and Rate-of-Perceived-Exertion against their sets — proper intensity tracking for progressive overload.
  • New Warmup sets — Warmups are now a first-class part of the workout structure when programming and logging.
  • Improved Simple-mode workouts are free-form — In simple mode a workout is now just a notes box — clients log however they like, with a tidier layout on phone and tablet.
  • Improved Clearer logging screen — “Complete workout” and “Log / Resume workout” now sit fixed at the bottom and are easy to find, and the log screen no longer feels like a temporary pop-up.
  • Fixed Tempo now shown during workouts — Prescribed tempo is displayed to the client while they train.
  • Fixed Rest timer behaves — Resolved buggy rest-timer behaviour during sessions.
  • Fixed Session duration & calories recorded — After logging in the app, workout duration, energy and calories burned are now saved to the workout session for both client and trainer.
  • Improved History restored for migrated workouts — Workouts imported from other platforms are re-linked to the exercise library, so exercise history shows up correctly.

Nutrition

  • New Daily calorie target vs. logged on the home screen — Clients see their plan’s daily calorie target against what they’ve logged, right on the app home screen.
  • Improved Expanded food & recipe library — The food library and recipes have been backfilled for more complete logging.
  • Fixed Migrated recipes show real quantities — Imported recipes display proper food quantities instead of “freeform”.

Progress & check-ins

  • New File uploads on progress forms — Progress entries now accept file uploads such as PDFs — not just photos.
  • New Weekly progress-entry management tools — New tooling to review and manage clients’ weekly progress entries at scale.
  • Improved Smoother progress tab — General improvements to how the progress tab loads and behaves.
  • Fixed Reports follow your question order — When a client answers a form out of order, the report now always follows the order you set.
  • Fixed Coach & client entries no longer collide — Tracking progress from the coach app no longer pulls in or overwrites a client’s own entry for the same day.
  • Fixed Rating fields display correctly — 1–10 rating fields no longer render as 5 stars, and a 1–10 field next to a star field no longer overwrites the other’s value.
  • Fixed Habit logging & custom fields in the app — “Log Habits” now opens the daily habits form, and custom fields on tracking forms now appear in the app.

Messaging

  • New Saved message templates — Save and reuse predefined messages so your team can reply faster and more consistently. Learn more →
  • New Admins chat as the account owner — When an admin opens chat, it defaults to the owner’s view — names, avatars and message sides all reflect the right person. Learn more →
  • Fixed Chat works for admins & new team members — Messages no longer show as “Unknown User”, and starting a conversation from a client’s profile in the app no longer errors out.
  • Fixed Date separators restored — Chat shows day separators again so longer threads are easy to read.

Programs & plans

  • New Export & share programs as PDF — Turn any program or plan into a clean PDF to share with a client. Learn more →
  • New Duplicate & pad programs — Copy a program and extend it with extra weeks in a couple of clicks.
  • New Auto-roll the next week for active clients — Automatically duplicate last week and set the start date to fill the week ahead — keeps active clients moving without manual rebuilds.
  • New Program search — Search across programs from both the dashboard and the client side.
  • Improved Removed confusing “Beginner” tags — Dropped the “Beginner” labels on workouts and exercises that were causing confusion.
  • Fixed Save-as-template lands in the right place — Simple nutrition templates now show under the Simple tab, and programs save into the correct folder for their type.
  • Fixed Clear “linked plan” state — When a plan is linked to a template, the UI now reflects that instead of letting it be edited as if unlinked.

Reminders & notifications

  • New Time-sensitive reminders & to-dos — Give a reminder or to-do a deadline. After it passes, the linked check-in or form disappears from the client’s active list — and you see a clear “Missed” badge. Deadlines show up across the calendar, the client to-do list, the advanced dashboard, and the app home screen (“Due today”, “Due tomorrow”, and dated reminders). Learn more →
  • New Birthday reminders — Get an internal notification on a client’s birthday so nothing slips by.
  • New Customisable email & push notifications — Tailor notification wording — including localisation, e.g. Serbian — to match your brand voice.
  • Fixed No more duplicate recurring reminders — A weekly reminder a client didn’t complete no longer spawns a second copy — there’s always just one active recurring to-do.

Exercise library & content

  • New AI exercise-description helper — Generate clear exercise descriptions and details with AI instead of writing each one by hand. Learn more →
  • New In-app smart search — Clients can search workouts and nutrition directly inside the app.
  • Fixed YouTube Shorts exercise videos play correctly — Shorts-format exercise videos now play properly in the app.

Billing & orders

  • New Link a purchase to a template program — Attach a purchase straight to a template program — handy for low-ticket offers. Learn more →
  • Fixed More reliable billing & seat management — Reworked admin billing and seat controls that were causing account-wide billing issues when seats were added.
  • Fixed Clearer order items & tidy invoices — It’s clearer what can be edited on an order, and long tax names no longer overlap other details on invoices.

Web app & onboarding

  • New Client web app — Clients can now use Protocol on a laptop or larger screen — great for guided videos and longer sessions — alongside the mobile app. Learn more →
  • Fixed Smoother onboarding form sends — Sending an onboarding form with app access on (but “ask client to fill” off) no longer errors.
  • Fixed Android keyboard no longer hides form fields — On Android, the keyboard no longer pushes onboarding inputs underneath the header.
